You can report hate incidents and crimes to the Police 101.
You can report an incident to HEC.
HEC takes incidents and crimes motivated by hostility very seriously.
We can help you get support you may want and / or to report to police if you want to.
To report an incident to HEC we ask you to fill in an incident form.
You can report an incident without giving us your personal details if you do not want to and this will help HEC learn more about hate incidents in Hertfordshire.
If you report an incident to HEC with your personal information we will contact you within 7 working days.
We will listen to you and ask you what you want to do.
The incident form below asks for your name, address, email and telephone number.
Your personal information is protected by the Data Protection Act.
If you tell us personal information HEC will use it only with your permission and only to help you with your incident.
We will ask you if we can use information about your incident to help us to learn more about hate incidents and crimes so that we can help others who may experience the same.
We will not use or share any of your personal information in any other way or with any other organisation without your consent.
Please be aware that if you tell us your life or someone else’s life is in danger we have a legal duty to report this. This is the same for all organisations other than the Samaritans who you may also choose to contact.
